Paris Paloma Portland Concert reviews
Super! Awesome!
ZZ cranked up at 7.30pm and all was good. Lots of cool video images and old footage on screen. Lost of crankin bluesy solos by Billy Gibbons, Classics like la grange, tush, later stuff like sharped dressed man. Less lights and lower level sound than next.
Paris Paloma came and played great. Joe Perry was literally a Guitar God. Unfortunately after back in the saddle Steven Tyler's voice started giving out a bit. He actually pointed to his throat and said we are going to have to cut this short, but went right into walk this way after that. Eat the rich, Rag Doll, Back in the saddle, Walking the dog, some more.
Light platforms were going up and down during love in an elevator but no one got on them as I thought they might. Then encore was a guitar battle between Joe Perry and a displayed Joe Perry Guitar hero. This all was really cool and then they did a cool blues song off the honkin' on bobo album and Steven played harmonica and he was great. Joe Perry one and the guitar hero display of Joe Perry actually blew up. then played Draw the line after that and Joe Perry kicked his guitar around and pulled the strings off, lots of feedback and then the band left the stage and Steven kicked over a chair he had been on. they were in good spirits and I really enjoyed it, but I did hear a lot of people complaining about the shortened concert. I hope his voice will be ok, I think it is just a temporary problem.
